1. What is acceptance of tender (A.T.) ?

It is a procedure of procurement in which quantities of goods are fixed for specific consignees and it is one time Purchase process. However, repeat order can be placed against A.T. within 3 (Three) Months of issuing in A.T.

2. What is rate contract (R.C.)?

It is a procedure of procurement in which the validity of the rate contract shall be valid for one year from the date of its issuance of Rate Contract. The Managing Director (GMSCL) will put requisition order against rate contract as per the Indent from concerned indenters.

3. Information regarding condition of supply, installation and warranty?

Supply :- For imported item - 9 Weeks from the opening of letter of credit. For Indian items - 6 Weeks from the issuing of A.T. / R.C.

Installation :- It will be completed within 30 days of delivery.

Warranty & C.M.C.: - As per condition No. 10 mentioned in A.T. / R.C.

4. What is Comprehensive Maintenance Contract (C.M.C.)?

In CMC, the analysis of breakdown/faults in the equipment and repairing/servicing is taken care of by the service provider. This includes free spare part replacement. Apart from this, preventive maintenance service is also be done on a pre-determined/agreed to frequency during CMC.

5. What is annual maintenance contract (A.M.C.)?

The service provider gives only service support and would charge separately for each part during AMC. Preventive maintenance is also done on a pre-determined/agreed to frequency during AMC.

6. What types of equipments will be covered in C.M.C. at GMSCL level?

As per the circular of GMSCL Dtd: 20/07/2016, the procedure of C.M.C. of medical equipment purchased through GMSCL in Year 2012-13 & 2013-14 has been initiated at GMSCL level. The procedure of C.M.C. / Repairing of medical equipment purchased locally and by donation has to be done at hospital level till until any separate arrangement is done by GMSCL.

7. Where to contact for break down complaints?

As per A.T. / R.C. Condition if machine is under warranty or C.M.C. period, the healthcare units may directly contact the authorized service provider for breakdown complaint as stated in A.T. / R.C. However if compliant is not solved, the hospital can contact GMSCL.

8. How to maintain the records of equipment?

For all equipment we should make an individual file and maintain all the records from A.T. / R.C. copy, installation report, service report to compliant in this file and also give specific identity number to file and Equipment.

9. How can I register my grievance with maintenance cell?
